dreams are such amazing little things, don't you think so?i find it amazing how most of the times, dreams can seem so real that when you wake up, you feel a little silly for even believing it in the first place. there are many different types of dreamsand i think that one tends to remember either the ones that are the most ridiculous,or the ones which are the most realistic.funny how its both end of the spectrum.and there are those that give u a sense of de javu in real life, when u're experiencing something, be it the place or situation, and felt that you've been there before. there are happy dreams, where sometime you wished you didn't have to wake up and face another day of reality (ie school).
there are sad dreams,
sometimes so real that i wake up to find myself really tearing and that my pillow is all wet,
and waking up to find out that it's not true is such a bliss.
there are the action dreams which i love!
running away from the bad people or giant gorillas,
jumping down from my HDB flat to continue running,
scaling walls to climb from unit to unit...
all rather hollywood stuff i have to admit (sheepishly).
then there are those meaningless everyday dreams
that you will never recall much after you wake up.
and then, there is the very potent DAY DREAM.
yes, i believe everyone is a victim of daydreaming.
it causes one to lose focus in whatever one's doing,
especially so in lecture theatres.
and this blog entry is the result of day dreaming in the bus on the way home. HAHA.
quoting from wikipedia, "
Dreams are the images, thoughts and feelings experienced while
asleep, particularly strongly associated with
rapid eye movement sleep. The contents and purpose of dreams are poorly understood, though they have been a topic of speculation and interest throughout recorded history.
"
Sometimes, i really don't like how everything has to be scientifically defined (yes, this despite me studying science my whole life!!).
seriously, can't it just be the wild imagination of humans when they go to sleep or something magical or what? geez. i guess i really don't want to grow up.
alternatively, dreams can also refer to the aspirations and goals that people have. i really admire people who know what they want in life and are working hard to strive towards that direction.
i'm turning 21 this year, entering adulthood and it does scare me from time to time to not know my calling. i work hard because the education system and culture pushes me to and sometimes i really don't know why. i'm just part of the whole rat race and sometimes i feel jaded and want to just slack behind but this inbuilt mentality of mine doesn't allow me to do so. which is all so irritating.

alright, enough of ranting about dreams and all! i think i went out of point towards the end where i start whining again. HAHA. but that was probably one of the more intellectual entries i have posted in recent times.
onto daily stuffs, i drove my whole family today! :) back to home from the temple after we went to pray to my grandparents.
few more hours to chinese new year! then i can wear my new dress! :):) haha. i sound like a bimbo. but whatever~
