finally finished reading my book.cecelia ahern's "a place called here". long overdue. i once borrowed the book from jess like i think at the start of yr1. i borrowed for a couple of months but never got down to reading it somehow. then, i got baba to buy me the book for xmas last yr. never found the time to sit and and slowly enjoy the book... until now. haha. but no regrets man. it's a great book. im glad i didn't have to rush through it or what.so anw, this book is about missing things and people. as in, those that get lost and never come back, no matter how hard you try to find them. because in the book, there's this fictional place they call "Here" where all the missing things and people go to. it's like a whole different world where money doesn't have any value because things you need would just appear. even jimmy choos (yes, pple in the real world lose them!) and donuts! isn't it wonderful in a world where money is not needed? haha. but, i don't think i would ever want to get lost. it's really quite sad you know. you never know when's the last time you get to see your family and friends and loved ones. like can u imagine if the last time you saw them was when you were quarrelling? you're left parting with that memory! haha, i make it sound as if it's death but i wonder. would death be easier to accept than someone just dissappearing to thin air? at least in death, you know what happened. for missing people, you don't know and i would think that that is super agonizing. and i wonder if that place really exists. i mean, you never know until you go missing right? haha. choy~ ok all these doesn't seem very realistic but you know, you guys should go read the book. anyone who wants to borrow can ask me! =)speaking of books, i can finally move on to reading harry potter! but the bad thing is that it's so heavy i can hardly carry it around. roar. oh, anybody got a book called "sophie's world"? or jodi picoult's "my sister's keeper"? i am so gonna use this holiday to read lots of books man! rekindle my passion for reading. i was actually a bookworm in primary school you know. almost everyday borrow books from library. and i became a librarian as cca so i could kop the nice books and hide in one corner to read! (haha. okok. and also because i wanted to enjoy aircon and scan books which i thought was damn cool and fun at that tender age. HURHUR)oh was reading the straits times online just now. (decided not to stay too much in the fictional world. might get delusional. hurhur) why oh why do countries refuse help from other countries, even when it is rather obvious that they would not be able to handle the situation as efficiently? is it pride at stake? military secrets? corruption? well, lives are at stake here you know. the longer you drag, the more people suffer, the higher the death toll. why reject expertise and make your people suffer? sometimes arh, you just feel like "what the hell is wrong with these people!!!" roarr. ok enough ranting on an issue which i can never help. haha. the fellow long-term employee here is quite good at bitching. i tink she sees no harm in telling me all her complaints about the company cuz i'll only be here for one month. hahaha. quite amusing. i think she welcomes my presence with arms wide open. like really. but she's nice to me la. she gives me chocolate. so i shall be contented with this and wait for the day the cheque guai guai bank into my account. :P1hr 40 mins to knock off! kbox tonight~ wheeee.do take note. this is how im gonna end all my entries in the next few wks: "X hr/mins to knock off!" hahaha.p.s. happy 16th babyyyyyy. i love you the mostest! <3
