and with that, it has been two months exactly since i left home!omg, that means 1/3 of my journey is over. still feels pretty surreal at times. like i still can't believe that i'm living in london sometimes!but trust me, life is getting normalised. haha. yes, some days you do wake up and wonder why on earth you choose to uproot from comfy home settings to somewhere so far away. but most days, i'm just glad i chose to come and experience it!haha, truth be told,i haven't interacted with the locals as much as i would like to. the brits aren't exactly the friendliest bunch (eg my neighbour)and maybe i haven't put in enough effort to try to mix around either.but do understand that it's quite hard really! like u can see clear segregation betwn the ang mohs and the asians during dining hours. ang moh sit with ang moh, asians sit with asians. and like to think back on my time in NUS,i also never bothered to talk to the exchange students during lectures or what.so maybe its retribution. hahahaha. if u noe what i mean.its probably the same thing everywhere in the world bah?but well, i am mixing with the asians in hall so its not like i'm damn dao or what ok! haha, don't be mistaken. and maybe one day i will just try to go make friends with the ang mohs again.we shall see. lol.but don't worry! im not like lonely or anything!there's always the fellow exchangers to fall back on,or the good old reliable friends from singapore who study here full time :)and there's also skype and msn aplenty.and i infact do enjoy that bit of alone time i get here!can't wait for the weather to turn warmer so i can head out to some park and find a bench and just sit and read my book! :)someone asked me: "was london what you expected it to be?"seriously, i can't quite remember what i expected it to be already!i remember being very excited about the prospect of never-ending traveling and snow and stuff.and i am still very excited about it!! i can't wait for easter break!!!!!!!but meanwhile,im heading to belgium for a weekend trip!taking the bus down tmr night :)wish me luck though. that i get a good driver,for its going to be like 8,9 hours??haha. yesss.but im going there to gorge on chocs and waffles and fries and mussels!WHEEEEE.stay tuned for pictures!meanwhile, hope everyone back home is hard at work!! mid sem break is coming so hang in there! LOVESSSSS.
